Liked: Food options good and the lobby beautiful
Disliked: The room was pretty worn; walls dirty and lots of dust and even spider web hanging from ceiling.
The surrounding amenities were nice, and the location is very good, but the guest room needs to be renovated
Liked: The pool area was nice, the bar areas were good. The reception desk and concierge employees were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: In the bathroom the toilet was situated in such an odd manner behind the sink counter that I could hardly access it. The tub was rusted in a couple spots. There wasn’t any wash cloths. The door in the bathroom was damaged. The pillows on the sofa were dirty. And the tv programming wasn’t available in English.
Lovely Hotel with great location
Liked: The hotel is fantastic overall. Really enjoyed our stay here. The pool area is lovely and the sun loungers comfortable. The surrounding garden is so pretty. The breakfast buffet was fab - pancakes and omelette to order plus more all included. Side chill out seating areas and paddle which were both great. They are installing a new large bar behind the chill out area which will be lovely when finished. There is a side entrance directly down to the road in front of the beach. As such the location was perfect. The rooms were clean and nice overall with a pretty terrace.
Disliked: We booked a room and selected the option of a double bed (bed options were double or twin). AFTER I had booked I received a message saying a double bed cannot always be fulfilled by the hotel. As a couple I don't want a twin bed so I emailed to ensure we would get the double bed. No reply. On arrival guess what - the staff on reception gave us a twin bed, with separate linen, pushed together. I complained and we were accommodated by being moved to a double bed. HOWEVER we had to spent one night in the original room and then move on our second night. The room we moved to then didn't include the lounge sofa that the room should have had. I booked this hotel room over another hotel partly because of this being shown in the room photos. Plus I am pregnant and to be honest it really affected my comfort levels during our stay not having this lounge sofa. The staff on reception repeated that it is only a preference to get the double bed and it's the hotel policy - so I feel that if you are a customer booking a room you should know this in advance. It felt underhand to me and I was upset I had to choose between the double bed or the lounge sofa. Just have two room options to choose between like every other hotel TWIN OR DOUBLE.
Liked: The property was nice, and its location is highly recommended due to its proximity to everything you might need.
Disliked: the parking area is quite limited and is almost always full. As a result, finding a parking spot can be a real challenge. You may sometimes have to park your car quite far from the hotel and walk back due to the lack of available parking spaces.
