Highly recommend staying in St Emilion
Liked: La Gomerie is warm and hospitable, with Jean-Francois making us very at home. A great location and a very thoughtful hotel.
A lovely stay amongst the vines
Liked: Comfortable bedroom in charming property, all in beautiful surroundings. Secure and convenient. parking in the large gardens. Lovely view from room. VERY warm welcome from Jean Francois who was committed to make our stay as enjoyable as possible with information about the area - including restaurants and places of interest in and around St Emilion. Great breakfast served by Jess who was chatty and incredibly informative. Convenient for short drive into town where parking is easy. Very quiet. Our trip was in late autumn so pool area was not in service but in warmer months this would be a big bonus.
Disliked: Nothing. We'd certainly book again if going to the area.

Relaxing comfortable gite set in the vineyards
Liked: This B & B is out in the vineyards but within walking distance to St. Emilion. I wish we had been here earlier in the summer to take advantage of the pool and the arbor, looking over the vines. The owner Jean-Francois greeted us warmly and made an effort to make sure we knew where points of interest were on the map. He also recommended 2 good restaurants as we had no reservations. The room was lovely, although the bathroom was rather small, but I recognize that remodeling an old house with stone walls is not only challenging but also very costly. Amenities in the bathroom were very nice. The view from our bedroom over the vineyard was just wonderful. And breakfast was perfect, delicious, generous, and presented perfectly with beautiful table-settings. Both Jean-Francois & Jessica made sure we were totally happy.. And Paco the beagle is darling, but not allowed in the guest areas. I might mention that the sitting room for guests is comfortable and wine and sodas are available in the honor system. Also, there’s a refrigerator & freezer if you have food to store.
Disliked: Only thing I could possibly complain about is that the doors and walks to the stair landing let in lots of sound. Someone was going into their room and I was sure they were unlocking our door.
Liked: Lovely quaint B&B with relaxing pool, in the heart of a St. Emilion vineyard. What’s not to like?
