  good, but not 5 stars hotel

  Liked: good breakfast nice location nice and friendly staff

  Disliked: this is not a 5 stars hotel, at least not for the european standard - one room was dirty, with a lot of dust everywhere - The wallpaper was peeling off the wall - The bathroom had rusty corners - The spa is extremely expensive and poorly equipped, and it smells of mould inside - the pool is small (max 1.20)

  Completely disappointing

  Disliked: Dear Hotel Management, I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding our recent stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, our experience fell far below the standards expected from a five-star property. Firstly, when we booked our stay through Booking.com, one of the main reasons we chose your hotel was the advertised complimentary airport transfer. However, upon arrival, we were informed that we were not entitled to this service. This was extremely disappointing, as it was a significant factor in our decision to book your hotel. In addition, the housekeeping service throughout our stay was consistently poor. On one occasion, the room attendants made the bed but left the TV remote control inside the bed linen, causing us to spend a considerable amount of time searching for it. On another day, they merely made the bed and left the ironing board and iron exactly as they were, without properly tidying the room. Furthermore, one of the bathrobes provided in our room disappeared during cleaning and was never replaced. The complimentary bottled water was also not replenished daily, forcing us to refill our bottles ourselves at the gym. Our experience at the wellness centre was equally disappointing. I had booked a hammam treatment for 9:00 a.m. and received confirmation of the appointment. However, upon arrival, I was asked to wait and was informed that the treatment could only begin at 9:30 a.m. This delay jeopardised my ability to have the breakfast that had already been paid for due to the timing. Even more surprisingly, the staff claimed they could not find my reservation, despite having written it in the booking log directly in front of me when I made it. The situation was handled in an unprofessional manner, with staff members arguing and shouting at each other. My husband and I ultimately decided to leave the wellness centre completely frustrated, and what should have been a relaxing morning was entirely ruined.

  Disliked: Terrible experience, they cancelled my stay an hour before arriving. They use booking platform as a discovery platform but they send you a link to book directly- when not done, they say the credit card isn’t valid which isn’t true.

  Modern, clean and tidy, great location

  Liked: Barcelo hotel, like any other, if you ask me. For business travels, it's always a safe option. It's modern, clean, the downstairs bar is convenient, and the rooms look nice.

  Disliked: The issue was the check-in. Arriving late after midnight to start the business meetings next week, the last thing you expect is that your room that you booked and paid for is not available anymore. I was eventually sent to another hotel, but the entire process took until 2 am in the morning. Also, the new hotel was only for 1 night, so the next day, I had to start moving back to Barcelo.
