Exceptional
Perfect for a short stay
Liked: The property is has good views of the Spanish mosque and is closer to the end of the medina that leads to it. Taoufik was very helpful with providing tips on where to eat and what to see. Wahid was very helpful in providing me with some cardboard to so that pictures I purchased would not be crused in my soft luggage. Jaber was accomodating with seating changes during breakfast. The body wash and shampoo dispensers were attached to the wall of the shower instead of being provided tiny bottles each day which is environmentally friendly. Tea and coffee was provided along with a kettle to boil water. They also provided a hairdryer which was very handy. Towels were changed daily. Wifi was strong and showers were hot which were very important to me.
Disliked: The breakfast was the same everyday. It would be nice if they could provide a bit more variety in the morning. It would be perfect if they could provide small sealed containers of milk for the tea and coffee.
Wonderful stay
Liked: This property has a perfect location. The staff is wonderful and welcoming. The breakfast is great. My room was small but had everything you needed. It also had a balcony which was wonderful.
Disliked: The room is a bit small. The shower head was very low.
Liked: Iguana Azul might just be my favourite place we stayed in Morocco! The room was very comfortable, and they even provided orthopaedic pillows—a thoughtful touch that I especially appreciated because of my back problems. The breakfast was lovely, especially the mint tea. We found it far too bitter everywhere else we tried it, but here it was delicious—the first mint tea we truly enjoyed during our trip! What really made this stay special was the hospitality. When we mentioned that we would be checking out at 5 a.m. on our last morning, they kindly prepared a takeaway breakfast for our journey. Such a thoughtful gesture! A comfortable stay with warm, attentive service. I would happily stay here again.

Liked: A lovely place to stay in Chefchaouen! The location is excellent, making it easy to explore this beautiful town. The hotel is beautifully decorated, with plenty of charm and attention to detail. Our room was comfortable, with a modern, well-appointed bathroom—a nice combination of traditional character and modern comfort. The staff were warm, friendly, and always happy to help. They even arranged our driver to Casablanca for a very early morning pickup, and everything went smoothly. It was reassuring to have that taken care of so efficiently! The rooftop terrace is another highlight—a wonderful spot to relax at the end of the day and watch the sunset over Chefchaouen. A wonderful base for enjoying this beautiful town, and a place we'd happily recommend!
