Disliked: My experience with Riad Antek was extremely disappointing and stressful. As soon as I arrived and saw the actual condition of the property, I was shocked. There was a horrible smell of dampness and old, stale odors throughout the place. The cleanliness was unacceptable, and proper ventilation was clearly lacking. The reality was completely different from what the pictures and listing suggested. The conditions were so unpleasant that I couldn’t imagine staying there, not even for a single night. I immediately decided to leave without spending a single night at the property. I spoke directly with the owner and explained the situation. We reached a verbal agreement that my reservation would be cancelled, and he explicitly told me it was okay. However, he never followed through with his promise and never confirmed the cancellation through Booking.com. Instead, he kept giving me one excuse after another: he had no internet connection, he had no access to the system, he couldn’t log in, and he would take care of it later. Every time, there was another excuse and another delay. I was exhausted. I had travelled to Chefchaouen to relax, rest and sleep, not to spend my time chasing the owner and dealing with his excuses. I simply wanted to leave, get some rest and enjoy my trip. Instead, this situation caused me unnecessary stress and frustration. What is particularly unacceptable is that I respected our agreement, but the owner did not keep his word. I never stayed at the property, yet I was left dealing with the consequences of a cancellation that he had verbally agreed to. I strongly advise future guests to be extremely careful. Do not pay in advance or rely solely on the pictures. Visit the property in person, inspect the cleanliness, check for unpleasant smells and ventilation, and make sure everything is acceptable before handing over any money. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend this property.

Good location
Liked: Location is great and terrace view is very nice. The room was quirky enough to be fun for a short stay.
Disliked: The room was not great for a longer stay. A small space separated into a loft and lounge area so standing upright is a challenge. Advertised as a bathroom but has no sink so if you want to avoid splash from the shower nozzle you need to wash over the toilet which is not ideal. Also advertised as having a shared kitchen which is incorrect.

Liked: Staff were friendly and helpful in giving information about Chefchaoun and the location was great. Good breakfast.
Disliked: The bathroom smelt of drains. You had to literally climb up on a stool onto a step to get into the bed. There were hairs on the bed sheet and stains on one of the towels.
