Liked: 1. The staff is extremely welcoming. Khadija, the manager who greeted us, is extremely friendly, welcoming and gave us a map with points of interest throughout Marrakech and her recommendations. 2. Zine, the night staff, is very attentive and welcoming. The rooms look and feel very traditional, Moroccan and authentic. 3. We got upgraded to a better room 4. The staff are very helpful with helping carry luggage. 5. Zine walked us at 3am to one of our guide pickup spots. Very thoughtful and kind.

Disliked: 1. The entire riad, in my opinion, has a bit too many strong fragrances everywhere. I prefer to smell nothing, then to always smell a fragrance. 2. The riad is a bit difficult to get to. You have to walk through a chokepoint in the medina where it gets narrow and super packed with people, then you have to walk down some really suspicious looking alleyways to get to the riad. 3. The original room we booked, had a faint, constant odor near the bed. It's one of the smells that is faint enough to feel like you can ignore it, but also strong enough that it's annoying and always there. The room also felt very humid, and the floor felt always damp. We asked the staff for help and they offered to spray a fragrance in the general area and we can keep the door open for 30 minutes to air it out. That didn't help and all it did was made us smell the strong fragrance and the odor at the same time. After sleeping one night with the odor, the next day, we were offered to move to another room. 4. The staff offered to store our leftover tajine and couscous in their fridge and that they can heat it up for us later. After handing them our leftovers, later in the night, we asked if we can have the leftovers heated up. It was served to us on a nice tray, with tea, at the roof, but then we realized the leftovers are still cold like it's just been taken out of the fridge. So cold tajine and couscous with tea.

    Beautiful

Liked: Had a wonderful 4 night stay at Dar Andamaure and didn't want to leave! Firstly we want to say a big thank you to all the amazing staff, Zine, Abdul, Khadija, Cooks and cleaners! From the moment we arrived we were treated like family and made to feel so welcome. Everything was perfect. The Dar is about a 5 minute stroll from the main square, down little alleyways, it was easy to remember the way and at no time did it ever feel unsafe. Once you're behind the door, you cannot hear a thing, it's an oasis of calm after the hustle and bustle of the Medina, Souks and Jemaa el fnaa. Our room was very comfortable, had the best sleeps! Bathroom was lovely and plenty of storage for clothes. It was cleaned every day, can't fault it at all. We were served breakfast each morning by the lovey Zine who would make sure that we were well looked after. We had a feast of yoghurt and fruit, omelette and breads, with pastries, juice, coffee etc, more than enough to set you up for the day and was varied each morning. The Dar is absolutely spotless and the roof terrace is beautiful, a lovely place to relax. We had a complementary airport transfer on arrival as we stayed more than 3 nights, and a man who helped with our bags! The manager Khadija arranged an early morning airport return for us and Zine made us a breakfast to go! This place made our first stay in Marrakech so special and we would definitely return again one day, hopefully! I highly recommend staying here as it is an absolute gem. Thanks again to everyone ❤️🫶☺️
