Exceptional
A cozy and quiet stay in Mdina for a pretty low budget
Liked: The courtyard is very nice, the hotel is quite despite being really close to the souks and about 15 minute walk to the Jeema el-Fna. Very cordial staff. Breakfast and dinner were good.
Disliked: At some hours of the day, like the afternoon, staff is not available or does not speak English or French.
Wonderful Riad stay
Liked: Wonderful and friendly staff. Beautiful and cosy Riad. Location is also very central right at centre of medina but also very quiet. We felt safe walking as also surrounded by riad hotels and cctv outside. Would definitely come back. I would also suggest their pick up service as it can be confusing initially and if you are large group it wouldnt make much difference than taxi.
Disliked: Initially it was hard to find first time but as you keep going back it will be much easier. The aircon takes time to cool but it will be eventually.
Liked: Great location. Staff was amazing and supported every obstacle we threw at them such as an early start for a tour when we required a fast breakfast. They were extremely accommodating when supporting us with a broken boiler.
Liked: This was a very special stay for me and my family. From the pool to the staff, the tea when we arrived to the value, we definitely hope to stay again!
Good Riad
Liked: Staff was nice and room was comfortable. Very close to the major locations of the city. Riad felt safe.
Disliked: Breakfast was fine, but not that good. Also, staff quite some staff (including the person that had to arrange our taxi and checkout) did not speak English (but it was clear he meant well, he was very nice while using Google Translate and gestures).
Liked: Lovely, clean riad with a great host. I was offered some moroccan tea and biscuits when I arrived. The host also offered me a map & took time and explained how to get around Marakesh as well as offering practical tips. I hadn’t experienced this before and so was pleasantly surprised. The complimentary breakfast was quite delicious and every member of staff was extremely kind and helpful
