Exceptional
Liked: The place is beautiful and the staff are the best part of this riad. Yusuf gave me a full rundown of what to expect in the medina, including cultural norms like how bartering is normal, what the common scams are and how to avoid them, how Apple Maps doesn’t work well, and handed me a paper map and walked me through all the routes. He also told me right away that water was free and so was tea upon request. Renaud also reiterated this to me and chatted to make sure I was okay when he noticed I was sitting alone at the pool (totally okay, just exhausted after walking all day). They truly are the most caring and welcoming and I cannot emphasize enough how beautiful their space is.
Disliked: The location listed on Apple Maps is wrong, so you really need to rely on staff directions and paper maps to not get lost. This seems to be a greater problem in the medina- I stayed at a different riad later with the same issue- so it’s not their fault. But be advised!
Liked: We had a wonderful stay! The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, and went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this riad and would happily stay here again!
Beautiful relaxed place
Liked: Very good service. Beautiful room. Pool was nice to cool down in between. Easy to walk to everything. Very nice breakfast. The room was not super big but the yard in the middle was basically the place to chill.
Great location and friendly staff
Liked: We liked the location of the riad as it was just off the main road which meant it was very quiet but only a 15-20 minute walk to the main square through the souks. There were good restaurants nearby although the meal we had at the riad on our first night was excellent. There was a small dipping pool and a rooftop terrace for relaxation. The room was equipped with a hairdryer, a fridge, a kettle and a coffee-pod machine. Large bottles of mineral water were available on request from the kitchen. The staff were all excellent and there was someone on duty 24/7. The riad had a traditional feel and we felt very safe at all times.
Disliked: For us, all was good.
perfect for exploring Marrakesh for a few days
Liked: Lovely Riad that felt like a family home instead of a polished hotel. Staff and owner were available and helpful, the home cooked dinner was nice. Breakfast is the standard moroccan fare with pancakes and jams, but there was fresh fruit, cheese and eggs available on top of that, so that was an extra treat. We would certainly stay here again. The location is perfect between the quieter northern part of the medina and the Jardin Majorelle, so everything is reachable on foot.
Disliked: Nothing, really, it is a very homey place to stay, lovingly decorated and cared for.
Beautiful riad in a good location with lovely staff
Liked: Very beautiful and atmospheric riad. Room was very spacious and clean. Decorated very authentically, with beautiful furniture and wall decorations. The location was good, very close to the Medina and the right side of town for the Jardins Majorelles. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Disliked: The rooms are not sound proofed. In the morning and evening people were seated immediately outside our room for breakfast and dinner which was clearly audible inside, even when they were speaking at a normal or low volume with the windows closed, so it can be difficult if you want an early night or a lie in!
