    Perfect little haven

Liked: A little peaceful haven in amongst the busy bustle of the medina. Beautifully traditionally restored medina with a perfect location not far from the main Medina square Great rooftop terrace where you can sunbathe and dip in the jacuzzi.

Disliked: Nothing but if you are not very mobile choose a room downstairs as the steps are steep!

    Best Riad and great location

Liked: The staff and amazing and think off every little detail. Location is great, right in the Medina and close to one of the main squares and souks. Room was incredibly clean and beautiful, with a great bathroom. Breakfast was incredible, a big selection of food, both Moroccan and European style breakfast. We loved this Riad and definitely recommend it.

Beautiful riad in the middle of the medina with delightful hosts

Liked: Beautiful Riad in the middle of the medina. The breakfast was lovely but we didn’t try the evening meal option.

    A wonderful experience!

Liked: An enchanting Riad, where every detail reflects the charm and magic of Moroccan tradition. A beautiful property, tastefully decorated, welcoming, and able to create a truly unique atmosphere from the very first moment. The rooms are exactly as shown in the pictures, spotlessly clean, and beautifully atmospheric. The traditional Moroccan breakfast was delicious, offering a wonderful variety of local flavours and specialities. But what truly makes the difference is the hospitality. Liliya and Emanuele are absolutely wonderful, warm, welcoming, and professional. The entire staff is always kind, smiling, helpful, and attentive to every need. They make you feel genuinely welcomed and pampered, just like at home. And a special mention goes to Brahim, the newest addition to the team, who gave us fantastic tips about the local area and, above all, some invaluable advice on how to navigate the souks. We absolutely adored you, Brahim! A true oasis of peace and beauty in the heart of the Medina, the perfect place to fully experience the atmosphere of Morocco. Everything was simply perfect! From the property itself to the warm welcome, from the services to the attention to every little detail. A stay we will cherish forever and a place we recommend without the slightest hesitation. A truly unforgettable experience. 10 out of 10!

Disliked: There was absolutely nothing we didn't like, but if I could make two small suggestions: a minibar to keep the water chilled and a slightly softer bed (although this is entirely a matter of personal preference!)

A architectural and cultural gem tucked in behind the souks of Marrakech!

Liked: Tucked in a narrow lane off the busy souk of the Derb Dabachi you will find the Maïpa Riad, a little gem of Moroccan architecture and culture. This delightful riad is a difficult to find as vehicles can’t access it, and the lanes are narrow and windey. However, Emanuelle and Liliya, the wonderful owners of Maïpa Riad, arranged for a pickup at the airport and someone with a cart to guide me on foot from the road to the riad with my luggage. A narrow door leads into the beautiful Maïpa Riad with its quiet courtyard garden with lemon and orange trees. Four floors rise around the courtyard. The dining room and office are on the first floor and the guest rooms on the second and third floors. The third flood also has a small hot pool and recliners. The fourth floor has a roof with a splendid view of Marrakech and the towering Kutubiyya minaret. While Liliya dealt with the registration process, I was welcomed with Moroccan tea and snacks. Then, Yunus, the attendant showed me around the riad and guided me to my room where my luggage had arrived. My room was clean, beautifully decorated with Moroccan art. The bathroom was neat with a rain shower in a mosaiced stall. The hosts had provided a complementary fruit plate and small locally made pastries. There was also a kettle, various teas and a cafetiere for coffee. For the ample breakfast the next morning I had fresh orange and cucumber juices, a selection of local breads and croissants, jams, fruits, fresh yoghurt and a delicious omelet (on my second day I had a shakshuka in a tagin hot from the oven) and coffee. From the Maïpa (“turn left and left again”) the short narrow lane leads to the Derb Dabachi and the souks of Marrakech. A little further you come to the crowded main square with its stalls, restaurants, entertainers, tour shops. The Kutubiyya mosque is just across the busy Rue Ibn Khaladoun.

    Disliked: All good!

Pleasant stay in a charming riad

Liked: We had a pleasant 7-night stay. The riad was beautifully decorated with a charming atmosphere. Excellent service (early check-in and late check-out, staff) with a 24-hour reception desk. Healthy and big breakfast. Great location. Highly recommended.
