    Amazing staff and location

Liked: The staff are fantastic and it’s in a great location. Hamza and Marwan went above and beyond for us at every opportunity. They gave us great recommendations for our stay, collected us from our airport transfer so we weren’t walking alone at night, and even served us breakfast early one of the mornings as we had to leave the riad earlier than usual. Everyone in the Riad was so friendly and welcoming, we really felt at home there. It was a very relaxing area which was some nice peace and quiet after the medina. The resident cats are also very cute and friendly!

    Disliked: Nothing

A gem of a riad in a gem of a city!

Liked: Fleur d'Orient was a complete gem of a place. It was beautiful, welcoming and perfectly located with most things within a 20 minute walk. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Hamza had all the top tips on how to navigate the city and where to eat, Said had great advice on what to see and do, and Othman provided the most delicious breakfasts and cultural insight. A fantastic team! With so many riads being bought up by outsiders, I felt very lucky to have found one that is still managed by the same family that has owned it for generations. I think that all riads are beautiful but when the staff have a personal connection to the place, then your stay will really be special!

Disliked: Maybe a clearer sign on the front door as I kept missing it in the street!

Liked: Everything a Riad should be, entered through a big wooden door in the wall of a narrow lane off a really interesting ( but slightly chaotic ) street, motorbikes, donkey carts and a few cars. Lovely central patio with a green tiled s.pool. Big room overlooking the patio, king sized bed, private bathroom and very efficient air con. Fab breakfast on the roof terrace, all flowers rugs and cushions, too much really, but when on holiday... Right in the heart of the old town but absolutely no nighttime noise, taxis at 100 mts, negotiate the price. If you enjoyed old style fairground dodgems you'll love this. Most of all the staff are the stars, Hamza, Said and Otman all speak excellent English. They will arrange anything for you,my wife did a cookery afternoon, or just talk to them about life in Marrakech generally it's really interesting. There are quite a few steps and changes of level so if mobility is a real problem, maybe not, but we are both 80 and we had no real problems. That aside if you want a really authentic experience don't hesitate,we shall be going back at some time when the weather is cooler ( it was 40+ some days) which is a bit much for sightseeing even though we live in southern Spain and are used to the heat.

Disliked: There was nothing to spoil a really great experience and the riad is better for being authentic and not prettified

Gorgeous riad with room for some small improvements

Liked: The front of house staff are very welcoming and super helpful throughout the entire stay. There are gorgeous flowers and fruit trees everywhere and wonderful roof terrace. The location is perfect for getting around the city but far enough off the main road to be very quiet and peaceful.

Disliked: Whilst the room was very comfortable and beautifully decorated the maintenance of some areas was extremely poor. Almost all of the sockets and light switches were loose, the door handle/lock was faulty and the television was very small and also did not work. The bathroom was beautifully designed but unfortunately the showerhead seemed to be the cheapest option available and didn't even fit in the holder. It would also be very nice to have a small fridge in the room and bottles of water provided in the room. A menu for dinner and drinks in the room would be great. It did not seem like the riad is making the most of this offering (it smelt amazing!). Just a few small things would take this from a 7 to a 10/10.

Liked: Our stay at this beautiful Riad was nothing short of wonderful! The location is absolute perfection—situated right in the vibrant heart of Marrakech, yet providing a peaceful retreat just moments away from the bustling markets, lively souks, and key historical sights. The Riad itself is stunning, authentically decorated, and offers a supremely comfortable and relaxing ambiance after a day of exploring the city. A special thanks to our host, Othmane, who was exceptionally accommodating, courteous, and helpful throughout our stay. His warm hospitality and thoughtful assistance made our trip truly memorable. An incredible experience overall—we would love to return and highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone visiting Marrakech!

A lovely family run place away from the medina. Breakfast was always great!

Liked: The breakfast was good and the little pool was nice to relax in and escape the heat.

Disliked: Just need somewhere to store or put bags in the room. Somewhat of a minefield of animal excrement coming down the alleyway but not related to the riad.
