  it was rather expensive, there are nicer places to stay

  Liked: Our family of four stayed one brief night in Riad Meknes as a stopover during a drive from Tangier to Merzouga. While we didn’t have too much time in Meknès or the riad itself, we did enjoy both the town and riad. Our room was spacious and we loved the lovely decor throughout the riad and the interesting layout. We had a quick dip in the pool and wished we’d had more time to use the garden courtyard. We did get lost in the medina while trying to find the riad to check in - and Google maps had a role in leading us astray - but we only found it thanks to some kindly locals showing us the way. I’d advise ignoring Google maps and making detailed arrangements with the riad on how to find it in advance of showing up.

  Perfect, central and very good value for money

  Liked: Excellent value for money. Perfectly placed near the entrance to the medina. The roof terrace was excellent and the staff there were really kind and helpful. Spotlessly clean room. Breakfast was very good too.

  Liked: Lovely welcome and superb breakfast. Beautifully presented, calm space with gorgeous garden and lots of spaces to relax. Perfect stay. I highly recommend staying here.
