Liked: We were impressed of that wonderful vibe of the old mortician style. The main hall, stairs, roof terrace and an authentic chambre - every corner of the hotel were absolutely charming and cozy! Highly recommend

    Comfortable stay!

Liked: Nice decor, traditional riad, good location within Medina, wide spread of variety for breakfast, and very friendly and kind staff (thanks Hassan!)

Disliked: Needs some maintenance as our toilet seat cover was loose and flopping around. Shower also flooded quite a bit and flowed out to toilet floor. As property is inside Medina, there’s no way to park next to the entrance of the property, even on a small motorcycle. Only choice for parking available is at a paid area just outside the Medina which costs the same price for motorcycles as cars - 40dirham/24h.

Traditional rooms in medina with great breakfast

Liked: Hassan could not have been more helpful - he arranged us an airport transfer at short notice and provided an amazing breakfast super early so we could have some before went. He also met us at the entrance to the medina so we could find the riad easily. Restaurants are within walking distance, the rooms were a good size and nice bathroom and our two rooms (with our kids) were in an area together (a tiny apartment). Good roof top lounge.

Disliked: The street - despite being completely residential - was very noisy and woke us up several times in the night and the riad restaurant was shut so we had to go elsewhere.

    Good value riad

Liked: Comfortable riad just inside the Medina walls. Good value for money. Welcoming and helpful staff. Good breakfast and evening meal. An easy walk to the centre of the Medina and places of interest. Public paid parking (with guardian) 3 to 4 mins walk.

We were a family with a car - and for these, we definitely recommend the Riad

Liked: Hassan was an excellent host - really pleasant (I expect generally hosts are all lovely, but Hassan spoke perfect English which obviously helps engagement (ref UK visitors with terrible language skills)). The Riad gives a bohemian vibe and is quite grand. The room we were in was quirky, in a positive way. The location from the parking and for the city is excellent. The beds were very comfortable with quality sheets etc. The breakfast was very good.

Disliked: The AC was a bit mismatched in our room (the two single beds received full blast and the double not at all) but there was a fan for the double and for redistributing the AC and it wasn't a big deal. In value terms - we gauged it fair price.
