Good hotel, bad booking experience
Liked: The property was nice, the hotel was well located and the tents were very luxurious.
Disliked: This listing was dodgy. It turns out that we never even found out the hotel’s real name until our tour guide told us to request the hotel website (it was Sahara Stars camp). Also, had to pay extra for an air conditioned room in the desert in the summer. Nothing really against the actual hotel other than they didn’t take card payment, then they were refusing PayPal when the man we spoke to, who we assume is the intermediary, said we could pay with it. A reminder to always request the hotel website and verify the hotel name. Apparently this type of scam is very common.

Liked: Amazing experience to be in the desert— stunning landscape.
Disliked: It was fine— felt a little upcharged. The bill ended up being double what we thought it would be
