  If you want to sleep your second night in a not cleaned room you should use this hotel after all you pay for the service

  Liked: Very original concept

  Disliked: Room cleaning is not done. Clients have to make their own bed ask for fresh towels at the reception and toilet and bathrooms are not cleaned with short days of 2 or 3 nights. An empty non connected mini bar is available in the suite but when you ask in at the reception why it’s not working and not stock the reply is that they don’t have mini bars in the rooms. No complimentary water. The reception reply is that you can purchase it from the vending machine at € 3,75 per small bottle.

  Liked: The place and the area

  Disliked: We had only hot water, we advised about this on the noon when we arrived and it was not fixed till we left. Could not even brush our teeth!

  Disliked: Shower was a bit dirty, also there is no hangers for towels.

  The area was lovely, the local people were friendly and helpful. Hotel was close to the City Centre

  Liked: Didn't book breakfast in the Hotel. The location was perfect for my husband and I as we were on the top floor onlooking the park and playpark. The group of five girls exercising in the park was amazing. They carried on despite the torrential rain on Wednesday morning, 9 September. Welll done!

  Disliked: The floor was never cleaned and was pretty gritty so I tried to clean it myself. We didn't receive our allocation of four coffee capsules each day and had to ask for them at reception or from the cleaners. Neither were we supplied with extra toilet rolls when they were required.

  If you are driving it's a good base for visiting Alkmaar

  Liked: Location was a short drive to city centre to visit various sites. Bed and washroom were excellent. Breakfast was good.

  Disliked: There was some difficulty getting the lights in the room to turn off. Quickly dealt with by staff.
