  Excellent location, but rather expensive for what you get

  Liked: The location of the hotel is excellent, as it is within 2 minutes of the main railway station in Delft. From there I was able to travel to my meeting location at Delft Campus, and to get the train to Schiphol Airport for my flight home. WiFi was reliable and I was pleased to find a few UK TV channels (especially BBC 1).

  Disliked: There was a mix-up with my room. I booked the hotel via Booking.com, where it was described as a 'Superior Queen Room'. However, the room was fairly basic and paying almost £100 per night (room only) (more if you include the City Tax) was not good value for money. I was staying for four nights, and on the second day I discussed my room at Reception. That's when I was told that I had been given a Standard Double Room, and not a Superior Queen Room (they said they don't have a 'Superior Queen Room' category). The first person I talked to told me that the reason for being placed in a standard room was that the hotel had overbooked, but later a different member of staff said it was caused by confusion with the information from Booking.com. It would have been good to have been given one clear reason for the mistake. In the end I spent two nights in the standard room and two in the superior room. It would have been nice to have been offered some form of compensation but none was offered.

Good to know

1. Don't forget we are a cash-free hotel. We accept all kinds of cards, but coins? Not our thing!

2. We will ask you to show us your credit card upon check-in. The name on the credit card should match the name on your identification document (ID or passport) presented upon check-in. Both the credit card and the identification document must be presented physically (i.e., no pictures or copies allowed).

3. Cancellation policies may differ according to the selected room type. Please enter the dates of your stay and check the policy of your preferred room and conditions. Questions? Get in touch with us!

4. Prepayment policies may differ according to the selected preferences. Please enter the dates of your stay and check the policy of your preferred room and payment conditions. Nonrefundable bookings will be charged directly after booking. Flexible bookings will be charged at midnight before your day of arrival. The credit card used to make the booking will be charged with the total amount of the reservation through an automatic payment.

5. When booking more than 9 rooms or more than 18 people, or more than 5 rooms for stays exceeding 7 nights, different policies and additional supplements will apply. The hotel will contact you directly to communicate the applicable policies.

6. Your room is cleaned daily with towels and sheets changed every third day. Please consider reusing your towels by hanging them up in the bathroom. This helps us save up to 60 liters of water per stay.

7. Unfortunately, we do not allow pets in your room. Guide/assistance dogs are permitted on request, please contact the property for confirmation.

8. Please note that all special requests are subject to availability.

9. Smoking inside the hotel is prohibited and only allowed in designated outdoor spaces.
