  Great stay

Liked: Great location for Efteling, hotel staff we’re all very friendly and welcoming, good facilities with restaurant, bar, activities for children and supermarket is attached round the back. Room was clean and comfortable, everything we needed and even with the option to use washing machine and dryer.

Lovely hotel, great location and overall excellent

Liked: The building is lovely, such a lovely interior design including inside the rooms. The rooms are cosy with comfy beds. The restaurant has great food too with a bar upstairs serving until late. Very friendly staff at the desk and is a great location if visiting Efteling as it’s literally a 10 minute walk. Lots of parking spaces at the rear of the hotel too which is free to park! If we come back here it will 100% be at this hotel.

  Disliked: Nothing

  I didn't feel like a guest

Liked: Clean, comfortable, and in a good location.

Disliked: Very poor hospitality from the front-of-house staff. There seemed to be a lack of understanding, warmth and consideration for travellers' needs, with interactions feeling unnecessarily confrontational. Ironically, when I challenged the way I was being treated, I was told that I didn't understand Dutch customs, despite this being my sixth visit to the Netherlands this year alone. I found this rather patronising and dismissive. The attitude of the staff made me reluctant to spend any additional money at the hotel bar or on other facilities, which I would otherwise have happily considered. There were also small shortcomings in the room, such as the lack of proper cups. Ultimately, the hotel was clean, but hospitality is about more than providing a room. Guests should feel welcome, not as though they are an inconvenience.

  An excellent hotel

Liked: A wonderful hotel. Our room was a good size, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Massive bathroom. Free parking and a fantastic supermarket next door. Really enjoyed our stay.

  Disliked: Nothing, it was great.
