  Fantastic

  Liked: Amazing location. Full of character. Friendly staff. I asked for a quiet room and was given one. Room was very big and comfortable. Lived it.

  Disliked: Nothing. There is no lift which was no issue for me but might be for others.

  Liked: Location is perfect. The breakfast was good.

  Disliked: The size of room is samll. Additionally, the hotel does not provide a room with two separate single beds; instead, the only available option is a double room with two single beds placed together, even though the website description indicated that a twin room was available.

  Perfect place for a relaxing Leiden adventure

  Liked: It is ON the canal. We could see the canal from our bed! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved staying here, in the absolute center of the city! So close to shopping and places for canal tours and canal boat rentals. And the restaurants!

  Disliked: There was nothing we didn’t like. However, we enjoy a laid-back experience and can deal with happy noise. More electrical outlets would be useful. People should be aware that there is a student orientation in the second week of August so the town fills with joyful young people.

  Great location, comfortable and clean

Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Please note that breakfast is served from 07:00 until 10:00, from Mondays until Fridays. On Saturdays and Sundays, breakfast is served from 08:00 until 11:00.

Parking is most convenient at Haagweg Parkeerterrein, Haagweg 4 in Leiden, This parking site is located 900 metres from the City Hotel Nieuw Minerva and offers a free shuttle service to and from the hotel. Reduced parking tickets are available at the Front Desk.

When booking 3 rooms or more, different policies and additional supplements will apply.

Our Pet Policy: dogs are welcome upon request. There's a maximum of 2 small to medium sized dogs per room and a maximum number rooms available. A surcharge applies. Pitbull dogs and Bullterriers are not allowed. Dogs should never be left alone in the hotel room at any time.
