  Excellent location and friendly staff. Cool industrial vibe

  Liked: The location is super central and down a side alley so ostensibly quiet (but see further comments below - we may just have been unlucky). The staff were very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was self serve buffet but had a reasonable selection and were able to cater for gluten-free. Excellent coffee! There are only 7 rooms so it feels boutique and exclusive. Lovely welcome drink at the bar was a nice touch. The beds were comfortable and there is a bath and shower in each room. The toiletries were lovely Aesop brand and the hairdryers Dyson. Good towels inc robes. The communal areas were clean and well decorated with nice art.

  Disliked: Unfortunately we experienced considerable noise from neighbouring/adjacent properties that was disturbing as people lingered on the street corner by the building. First at about midnight and again at 3am. It was nothing to do with the hotel but did impact the quality of our sleep. Also, the hotel has a cool pared-back/industrial vibe (exposed bricks and pipework, wooden floors, metal stairs and doors) which makes the internal acoustics fairly noisy when other guests are moving around the hotel (coming in late or staff arriving in the morning). The building itself is directly on the pavement so the ground floor bedrooms might feel quite exposed/lack privacy. Also each room is designed around the character of the original owner so are quite quirky and may not be to everyone's taste. We had the rooms 'Julia' (upstairs) which was dramatic red/black and gold theme and 'Rose' (ground floor) which was pink/green with an afternoon tea vibe. We didn't mind it but it's not necessarily conventional decor.

  Liked: Room was amazing, freestanding bath, shower etc. great beauty products, staff super friendly, ample secure parking on site. Great decor Fantastic continental breakfast with eggs of your choice - could not ask for more. Hope to go back again
