  Friendly quirky hotel in an old renovated monastery

  Liked: The hotel is located just behind the main square, roughly 15 minutes on foot from the train station. There are plenty of taxis! As the name suggests, it's in an old monastery, well renovated, and has a lot of character with some nicely quirky decoration. The rooms are a bit small, but then again, they were made for monks. There are lifts and all modern appliances are available, so don't be taken aback! Breakfast was plentiful. I thought the staff were very friendly and gave insightful advice on the city. Maastricht is absolutely lovely. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

  Disliked: It was raining most of the time, but Maastricht is really worth a visit. The hotel was perfect for me, but as mentioned above, the rooms may be a bit small for families - maybe they have some larger rooms (suites), but I didn't ask as I was travelling on my own.

  Nice and modern

  Liked: The location and the room. Cleaning is being done every day.

  Disliked: The AC was not working and we had to ask to be connected from the reception.

  Great location but the carpeted rooms really ruined the room for me

  Liked: Loved the location, it’s quite central so very convenient for walking around and exploring the city.

  Disliked: The room was okay, beds were comfortable and relatively clean but the carpets had multiple stains around the room. For the carpeted room alone, I wouldn’t come back to this hotel as it really made my allergies act up and just didn’t feel as clean. I highly recommend removing it. The TV also was a weird placement and there’s no fridge in the room, which I feel is pretty standard for a hotel The first floor rooms do have balcony access but our room was right outside the cleaners room/storage so our room was always blocked by and storage rack of towels in the morning, you could hear them outside so clearly, less private. The shower was also dripping the whole time which made the bathroom area wet and the rain shower didn’t allow for steady temperature (either too hot or too cold). Staff were friendly and there was honesty bar available which was a plus.
