  Misleading stay in Meerssen apartment

Liked: Good location near the center of Meerssen. Easy to reach local restaurants and the supermarket. Meerssen is located in the center of Limburg's hiking areas so from there we were able to reach many of our favorite places. Beds were comfortable but oddly placed in the apartment.

Disliked: Apartment wasn't clean on arrival. Cupboards, countertop, plates and glasses were still greasy and we had to clean them ourselves. Additionally the lamps and mirrors were dusty. On the terrace there were dirty socks and leftovers from previous guests. When we contacted the owner about this we were told that we had to provide evidence and that the establishment was cheap for the location - this gave us the feeling that we had no right to complain. Additionally, pictures and facilities on booking.com don't match the apartment. It mentioned two separate toilets which weren't there and the bathroom could be reached via the one separate bedroom meaning that you had to go through someone's bedroom in the middle of the night. The main bed was in the living room with no privacy.

Liked: Nice furniture and warm apartment

Disliked: Staff complety disorganized at our arrival, we were first welcomed in a perfume store and then moved to a hair dresser. No info at all given to us at arrival about wifi, parking, location or anything else. Very steep old style Dutch stairs not documented on the property deacription/characteristics. Toilet extremely tall non standard and dust bug found as soon when we arrived. Terrace extremely dirty/not manteined. In general given the location and the services the prices for my stay felt very high. A lot of vibrations felt in the apartment floor, quite scary to be honest.

  Very good

Liked: Extremely stylish home with a luxurious bathroom! Beautiful touches all around the place, and a large kitchen and dining area. Location is great and there's free parking within 5-10 min walk. Host was responsive and helpful.

Disliked: The deposit via bank transfer was rather troublesome, although it was refunded without issues. Would be better if deposit could be done via credit hold and reverted promptly upon checkout

  Superb

Liked: The house is a perfect blend of class and artistic charm. It’s spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at home.

Disliked: I really enjoyed my stay, though I would have appreciated it if all the doors in the apartment had been accessible
