Exceptional
Zero sleep due to noise
Liked: I did actually like the room itself. The decoration was lovely.
Disliked: So, I actually booked this room because of the reviews saying it was quiet. Unfortunately the opposite turned out to be true: all through the night there were doors slamming, loud footsteps from upstairs and a light in my room weirdly going on and off all through the night, which was being controlled by another (locked) room which says “private”. On top of that you can see & hear the trains at the station. Upon entering, there’s music by the next door cafes. All of this added up to zero sleep. Though the owner did respond sympathetic, saying this shouldn’t have happened, I did not appreciate a message asking at about 10 o clock whether the room was empty, as check out was at 10.30. (At which point I came stumbling out like a sleepwalker) Which is another downside: a very early check out. I think a partial refund given the circumstances would have been appropriate. Would unfortunately not recommend.
Liked: Perfect for day trips to Amsterdam by train. Nice room with nicely styled bathroom.

Liked: Great host Roderick..so helpful and kind..great location and accommodation..a short train trip to Amsterdam..train station and all transport is right in front of the hotel and other amenities 1 min walk away..thank you for your great&boutique hospitality 🙏🌷
