Exceptional
Nice place, shame about the inaccuracy
Liked: The location was lovely and peaceful. It was the perfect place from which to explore Bragança. The owner was respectful but attentive. For example, using Whatssapp to contact me on the day the booking started and as I left the property.
Disliked: The description of the apartment and its facilities on the Booking.com website was not realised. The description on the property's own website is. I only discovered the mismatch two days before arriving when I enquired about using the barbecue. If the Booking.com description had been accurate, I would not have chosen this accommodation.
Converted water mill
Liked: The converted watermill is a beautiful place, very tranquil and peaceful.
Disliked: We were on a short stay, i can not find a fault with the property, but if there is a slight negative it would be the gravel track to the turning of the property. We were touring on motorcycles and 2 were dropped out of 5....we have been touring 14 years and so id say would have experience......we did brush away loose gravel on the corner and that done the trick, but be prepared for a bit of off roading to get to gate. But property was so nice i can not rate it less.
Enjoyable, would have been better if the weather had picked up but you can't buy that, comfy, clean
Liked: The location is both good and not so good, Being an old converted mill it's by a small river which is fantastic, unfortunately the weather was not in our favour so we couldn't make the best of that. The downside for location and this only applies if you are not travelling by car, but we were on motorcycles and the access road would be more suited to off road motorbikes, but once you get down there it's good, a word of warning park your bikes on the upper parking level as it's a lot easier to get out, as we found out.
Disliked: The access road is not suited to motorbikes, but don't let that deter you from staying, Uber will pick you up from the top of the drive and drop you off for easy visits into town.
A lovingly restored watermill in a secluded setting
Liked: A lovely converted watermill on the outskirts of Braganca. Spacious rooms and very well equipped. Helpful and friendly owner. This would be a lovely spot for a summer break, right next to the little river. There are five rooms, three are ensuite and two rooms share a bathroom.
Disliked: Unfortunately the weather was not kind to us, with snow and low temperatures. We needed to run the fire for the heating. The owner made us aware that if you run the electric heaters and cook the power can trip, so we had to be very careful.
Perfect place to recharge batteries
Liked: The remote location, aside the river. Super quiet. The house is quite spacious and the rooms quite big. Kitchen is fully equipped. The possibility to contact with nature.
Disliked: Nothing
Great place, great host
