Exceptional
Wonderful stay we enjoyed
Liked: Quiet location by edge of Ria, in a small local community. Accomodation was the best supplied of any we have ever stayed in - from TP and all cleaning supplies to salt, oil, coffee etc. Uber taxi to old town, boat/island departures or train station just 4 euros. Supermarket easy walking distance. Nice balcony to sit and view Ria. T here was good responses to questions from the hosts. Generous supply of fruit and some pastries provided. Fish restaurant close by but only open mid day so we never got to try.
Disliked: Minor and personal - better pillows needed, single beds had bad creaking noises.
Fabulous and unique property
Liked: Immaculately restored fishermans cottage with high spec kitchen and bathroom fittings. Amazing views from the house with excellent sun exposure on the upper terrace. The house is well equipped with excellent air conditioning and constant hot water. A very quiet location with a mix of modern and run down neighbouring houses. We found it really charming and loved watching the birds in the ria formoso and the planes taking off in the distance at Faro airport. One of the neighbours was lovely and friendly and even made us some sweets! It is near to 2 huge shopping centers and a bar/restaurant within 50 metres. Entry is via a door code and communication with the owners was excellent. We loved our stay.
Disliked: Not a negative but sun loungers on the terrace would be our only suggestion to make the house even more perfect.
Liked: If you want to stay in Faro and be outside at the same time it is a place to rent. A comfy two bedroom apartment with great hosts in a 20 minut walking distance from the city centre that allows you to enjoy the city but not be overwhelmed.
Liked: This is a model of how a vacation rental should be presented - modern, stylish, comfortable, exceptionally clean, extremely well appointed. Little things like fruit&delicious Portugese tarts awaiting as we entered, fresh kitchen sponge, many other delights, too many to mention. Congratulations to the hosts!
Disliked: Nothing really comes to mind.
