  Very good but ……

  Liked: The house is attractively renovated and is well equipped. The location is excellent being a short walk to the centre in one direction and the market and supermarket in the other. It is in a quiet area.

  Disliked: As an elderly person I did not use the bed because the stairs have no handrail. I could not use the stairs to get to the bathroom at night. It would be fine for young people.

  Ideal location

  Liked: The location was fantastic and so close to shops, bars etc and marina. Also Nuno the owner could not of been more helpful and allowed us to go into apartment early due to bad weather. Cannot recommend this property highly enough

  Avoid!!!

  Liked: The location

  Disliked: The heating never worked correctly. It had a mind of its own. It wouldn't switch on, then it would switch on, then I couldn't get it to switch off! Then eventually it decided to switch off, then I couldn't get it back on again! Even when it decided to work the heat was very weak and not that warm anyway. A staff member came round to fix the heating but he also couldn't get it working correctly in spite of making several calls for help. Then he just wanted to leave as soon as possible! He was going to send a heating engineer around the next day to try to fix it but they never showed up! I conversed with the owner of the house on WhatsApp but he wasn't helpful either. I asked for a partial refund but was ignored. It got to the stage there was no point as they didn't really want to know. On the morning of my departure I left with heating on as it wouldn't switch off! The bed was not that good either. It was a very saggy mattress and the ceiling. The bed was upstairs on a mezzanine floor and the ceiling above the bed was very low, maybe about five feet, 3 inches height. The shower wouldn't work correctly either. The water in the shower was very weak. Probably because the majority of the water was squirting up through the top of the shower head towards to the ceiling! The shower basin flooded with water as it went down the plug hole extremely slowly. I left the property just as I found it and have photos to prove it. If the owner replies to this review he may well say I am not being honest. But I can assure you I know how to use a heating remote control! And my photo shows the shower head didn't work correctly. I have absolutely nothing to lose in leaving an honest review but off course the owner does. I'll let you decide for yourselves who you can trust! My advice - avoid this property and go somewhere else. Plenty of much better properties for in and around the same price in Faro.
