Liked: What a great little place. We absolutely loved our three-night stay. The atmosphere was peaceful, intimate and wonderfully relaxing, with beautiful views across the Ria Formosa. Our suite was spacious, comfortable and beautifully appointed, with a fabulous private terrace. The large, firm bed, lovely quality linen and peaceful surroundings meant we slept exceptionally well. The breakfast was a delightful surprise! Fresh, delicious and thoughtfully prepared, with plenty of lovely vegan options, including warm beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, fresh bread and fruit. The light and airy breakfast room, overlooking the pool and Ria Formosa, was a lovely place to start the day. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the whole property had a relaxed, understated charm. We particularly appreciated the quiet, uncrowded atmosphere and the sense of privacy. A genuinely lovely place to unwind, and somewhere we would happily return to!
Disliked: Our only small disappointment was the cleanliness of the private hot tub. There was a noticeable brown residue around the waterline and some brown, sand-like sediment at the bottom. As this is such a lovely feature of the suite, a little more attention to its cleanliness would make a real difference. This certainly didn’t spoil our wonderful stay, and we would happily return!

Liked: Ria Formosa exceeded my expectations. Brilliant hospitality and a quiet spot to take in Faro! I loved it!
Disliked: The location from the airport was perfect but it was too hidden. It should be easily spotted with the amenities they provide. All in all, it was beautiful.
