  Great place in a perfect location!

  Liked: This was a lovely, welcoming place in an amazing location! The room was spacious and had a lovely balcony overlooking the lake. The staff were all very friendly and attentive - advising us which jeep tour provider was the best, lending us plates for a picnic dinner on our balcony. Breakfast was good with lovely fresh bread. We chose to eat there twice in the evening and the food was lovely (just a choice of two dishes, one meat, one fish, but very nicely done). All cooked from fresh so I'm sure they'd be able to adapt to various dietary needs. Just across the road is a little lake beach, quite popular in August, but a nice atmosphere, and a kayak/SUP/pedalo hire place that also sells drinks and crisps. Lots of families. The whole area is stunning and we'd highly recommend a guided jeep tour as some of the roads to and through the mountain villages are steep and narrow. We'd happily return in Spring or Autumn and stay here again.

  Disliked: It's by the road that takes you up to Gerês town so can be noisy. But for us, the location was still worth a bit of traffic noise!
