  Lovely place in the middle of everything!

  Liked: Excellent location, very good breakfast just missed the orange juice, small but comfortable room, very clean, terrace and rooms to read or relax, friendly and helpful staff, especially Ann who went out of her way to help us with an issue not related with the hotel. Very happy with our stay.

  Disappointing experience with staff

  Liked: Location

  Disliked: I only stayed for literally few hours before catching a flight so I don't have much to comment on the room except to say that the bathroom had a sloping roof and anyone even slightly taller than me (I am 5 feet, 6 inches) would struggle. Also, the lighting in the bathroom was too dim. The room itself was clean and spacious, although I was upgraded (see below) and don't know the category of the upgraded room. For me the biggest issue was prior to my stay. The staff had clearly told me in writing on multiple occasions that I can leave my luggage for free for multiple days while I travel away from Lisbon to other cities. However, when I reached the hotel to drop off my suitcases, I was told - moreover by the very same staff member with whom I had communicated previously - that there has been a "policy change" and now the luggage drop service was chargeable at 5 euros per day (I am not sure if this is per luggage item or cumulatively). Apart from the fact that I could not see this new "policy" stated anywhere, what was extremely disappointing is that this staff member just refused to honour their written word and refused to help. This whole situation inconvenienced me a lot. Subsequently, after two days, another staff member wrote to me apologising and offered that I can leave my luggage for free. This was too late as I had already left for Porto two days ago. Moreover, this staff member didn't mention anything about a "policy change" and instead suggested that it has been their policy all along that the luggage drop service is chargeable save for the check in and check out days. While I was then offered complimentary breakfast (which I could not avail because I had to check out at 4 am) and the upgraded room, the whole experience and attitude of the staff were very disappointing.

  Liked: I am extremely dissatisfied with my stay. I booked a twin room with two beds, and my booking confirmation clearly stated this. However, the hotel staff repeatedly insisted that they had no record of this request. Eventually, they agreed to provide an extra bed, but I had to insist strongly before they would do anything to resolve the issue. The staff seemed unwilling to listen or help unless I firmly demanded it. This was a very disappointing experience.

  Perfect for my short stay

  Liked: Staff were brilliant, so helpful on reception. Carolina, Ana and Guilherme. Location was excellent, clean. We didn’t try breakfast so can’t comment on the food

  Pleased

  Liked: Very helpful and friendly staff at the desk.

  Disliked: No kettle or basic tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Needed to look for a kettle and a cup and some milk on arrival late at night, ahead of running the half marathon the following morning.
