Liked: great location.you can explore the city walking and everything is nearby. amazing restaurants and cafes are very cliose. great breakfast. wonderful and very helpful staff highly recommended if you stay in Lisbon.

Liked: Our favorite place to stay in Portugal was the boutique International Design Hotel in Lisbon. It is located near Rossio metro and train stations which makes it very convenient for getting around the city and for taking a side trip to Sintra. The staff of the hotel were friendly and helped us with tour information and arranging transportation to the airport. The rooms were comfortable and the WiFi worked great. Their breakfast at the attached Bastardo restaurant had a wonderful variety of choices. We also ate dinner there a couple of nights. We would definitely stay there again.

Disliked: Some noise from nearby housing protest one night
Liked: The location was very central and ideal for exploring the city. The staff all spoke perfect English and were very helpful, calm and friendly.
Disliked: Beyond the hotel's control but there was a huge protest in the square outside the hotel with riot police and horrendous noise until at least 3.30 am so we got no sleep the first night. We asked to move room the second night which the hotel accommodated without any fuss.Ideally, we could have been placed in a room Away from the square on the first night rather than having a sleepless night. Also didn't like that it had 'get lost' written on the door hangings, rather than please do not change the room- lost in translation!
