Very good
It was shocking, we felt like scumed
Liked: Nothing
Disliked: It’s shared outdated accommodation on top of cheap smelly restaurants with lots of noises from bars outside noise from ventilation fan from restaurant also noise from trains and constant smell of fried oil Also if you over 6 feet tall you find it extremely uncomfortable as ceilings are very very low especially in bathroom
Liked: Clean and well equipped rooms and shared kitchen diner. Clean comfortable bed, beautiful view. The owners have made a lot of effort in attention to detail. Near river sights, shops, restaurants and train station.
Disliked: Smell from bathroom. Once I'd emptied bath water it came up through tiled floor between toilet and sink. There was a sewage and damp smell from then on. I don't think the cleaners are allowed to use bleach these days. But if they could it would help with the mould on grout. Very noisy if anyone was moving around above us. I did ask people to be quiet but I think just normally walking around sounded like a heard of baby elephants
Great stay for the Belem neighborhood, highly recommended for business or tourist visits
Liked: The location is excellent and very convenient. It is surprisingly quiet in spite of being right by the most sought after streets of Belem. THe shared kitchen is handy and well-equipped.
Disliked: People walking in the upstairs room make a lot of noise.
Plenty of room for a family of 4, great location
Liked: Great location, nice views, comfy beds, plenty of space for a family of 4.
Disliked: Not able to leave our bags when we arrived a little early, mold in the bathroom.
Liked: The apartment was fine. I was alone but it can house up to a family with 2 (big) kids. The sleeping quarters are private behind a lock - it's in the attic with plenty of windows. One staircase down is the part shared with another apartment (or room) - which has a couch and a kitchen. I did not use the kitchen so can't say how complete it was. But all in all a really nice place to stay for a couple of days. I would have given a 9 for the apartment were it not for the comments below.
Disliked: What I loved so much about the sleeping attic was the 1 vertical and 3 roof windows - and all the light that can bring: this was let down by the fact that the blinds before the roof windows could not be removed (without tearing things down;) - one supposedly could be moved, but it was crooked too. Needs some restauration, and the apartment would really go upclass. My main problem was with the ancient lock of the attic - it was pretty impossible to "feel" where the key was in the lock, and it took me about 24 hours to adapt to it, with a lot of fiddling around at first. My problem with that is this: when there is a fire or other emergency and you need to get out in a rush, stressed and hurried - you don't want to be stopped by an escape room type lock. It's just dangerous. Please replace that lock, can't be too hard. This is the main factor in giving a 7 instead of a 9...
Liked: Good location in the Belem area
Disliked: Cockroach and mouse droppings. Low bathroom ceiling. Very inconvenient door lock to room.
