Exceptional
Great location and place to stay in Lisbon, amazing staff too
Liked: You cannot get a better location in downtown Lisbon. We arrived by train at Rossio Station and walked literally 100m to the hotel, and it opens onto Rossio Square. You can get to everything from this location. The room is very small but spotlessly clean and opened onto the square, looking up at the castle. It was very well sound proofed and we didn't hear a thing. The staff were incredible. All young and enthusiastic, in fact looking like they enjoy working there, and very obliging. They happily stored our bags as we arrived in the morning and contacted us when the room was ready with no fuss.
Disliked: The room on the 4th floor looking at the square is like a loft and despite the character of exposed timber beams and opening onto the square, it is very small and we were tripping over our bags.

Liked: Outstanding stay. The location is about as good as it gets in Lisbon, you are right on Praça Dom Pedro IV and everything is walkable from the door, Baixa, Chiado, Alfama, the river, with the metro a minute away. The hotel is spotless. They upgraded me to a stunning suite with a view over Rossio square and São Jorge castle, which I honestly did not expect for a single night. What I'll remember most though is the staff, genuinely kind and helpful with everything I asked, and not in that scripted hotel way. One tip for anyone booking, Manteigaria at number 68 on the same square makes some of the best pastéis de nata in the city, and Café Gelo for seafood is a few doors down. Nothing at all to fault. Highly recommended.

Disliked: Where do I start? The lobby is horrendous, dirty walls, bad smell, broken tiles, etc. The breakfast buffet is below average. The shower looks dirty. In conclusion I will never stay here
