Exceptional
Quaint and pretty hotel perfect for couples at the top of the castle
Liked: Decor was very nice. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was spacious. All the port was a nice touch
Disliked: Breakfast was fairly poor quality
Beautiful hotel within the castle walls
Liked: The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautiful, inside and out. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The complimentary port was much appreciated. Has to be the best all round experience we have had on our trips away.
Disliked: I can't think of anything.
It was the epitome of what we always hope to find in our accommodation choice

A special hotel in a special location
Liked: The location was excellent. The rooms were clean and comfortable The staff were friendly. The garden was lovely for spending some relaxing time in the sunshine with lots of seating options and a fire pit in the evenings. Complimentary coffee and cakes were available all day with wine & port from 6pm.
Disliked: There weren’t any negatives for me.
A perfect place for a dreamy night or two
Liked: The terrace was beautiful with the tiled arch gateway & cozy lounge sofa. I wish we could have stayed longer and just enjoyed the peaceful setting more.
Disliked: There is a taxi service offered all the way to the entrance, but uber/bolt (about 1/2 the price) cannot make the last 10 minutes due to the protected zone. Which makes it beautiful & special but if one has large luggage perhaps it could be a bit more of a challenge (although we decided to walk the cobblestone streets with our luggage up the hill).
