Good value of the money!
Liked: Clean but the bedroom is a bit outdated
Excellent value for money
Liked: Friendly helpful staff. Very clean everywhere. Very good breakfast selection. Excellent value for money.
Disliked: A minor criticism. Could have used more hanging space for clothes as there was no wardrobe.
Overall, I felt very comfortable during my stay
Liked: I was especially pleased that the room had a balcony. Overall, the room was also very clean.
Disliked: At times there was a sewage smell when stepping out onto the balcony. The breakfast wasn't very enjoyable, though it was fine to eat.

Liked: Good location, friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast, and functioning air conditioning, which is very important in Santarém in summer. Overall the facilities were nice and clean.
Disliked: Although partially renovated, especially the bathroom of our room needs a makeover. The faucet of the bathroom sink has two separate mixing knobs, which is and outdated and unsanitary design and should be replaced by a modern faucet. Likewise, the shower suffers from the same problem, which is less of a problem from a sanitary viewpoint and just makes finding the right temperature and water pressure unnecessarily difficult. The beds were comfortable, but with outside temperatures exceeding 35°C during the day and remaining above 20°C during the night, it was baffling that the beds had heavy blankets. Last but not least, room service really isn't necessary for a two night stay. Our bedsheets and towels were replaced after the first night of two, although it's common practice these days to only replace towels if they're on the ground. For Portuguese standards this hotel was quite expensive considering the downsides.
