Don't get double charged
Disliked: I booked and paid for this accommodation through Booking.com before arrival. On arrival, I discovered no keypad access code had been provided and I was directed to a payment link by the owner. I explained on the phone that I had already paid through Booking.com but the owner insisted that I had not paid and that payment through the provided link was required to gain access to the property. As I was standing outside the property at check-in time unable to gain entry and without an alternative place to stay, I made the decision to pay via the owner's payment link and resolve the issue later. This resulted in me being charged twice for the same stay. More than two months later, I am still trying to recover the duplicate payment. I would strongly recommend that future guests confirm payment and the keypad access code before arrival..!!
Location Location Location but needs some loving
Liked: Casa Beltane is right in the middle of everything. Minutes from bars, restaurants the harbour and the beach. I was in Faro 3 top floor no lift but manageable. Had everything you need for a stay including reliable internet, cooking facilities etc.
Disliked: The signage to the Buidling is hidden by their advertisement for lockers! Access is remote and operated only be a code via a WhatsApp link.The property has been loved but not maintained! The bathroom shower leaks and manageable with towels but the smell from the sewer system in the toilet and the damp flies in the lobby and room indicate a problem. The rooms are painted in white and every knock, wine stain and hand prints were visible. I tried cleaning it but alas unremovable. Shame as everything it has is perfect. The noise from the street was not so much a problem for me once the shutters are in place, however the noise from doors closing in the stairwell from other rooms, the pressure shift seeming as my door was opening at 3am when fellow travellers were returning back. I liked the convenient location, the size of the room, comfy bed, reliable AC but i can see and saw how the lack of maintenance and upkeep could deter return travellers. An easy fix.

Disliked: My flat was on the top floor without a lift!!

Liked: Once inside it was nice enough, clean and modern and nicely appointed with a small kitchenette. Location was good.
Disliked: There is no one in attendance and everything you need to know to get in was through What’s App prior to arrival. Payment was required before you can get in to the apartment. Access system is digital and was very confusing. We had the top floor apartment and only access was via 2 narrow sets of stairs. Would be very difficult for people with impaired mobility and/or with large suitcases. We decided to leave ours in the car and take only what we needed as parking was in public carpark 7 mins away.
Liked: Great apartment to stay in for a couple of days! It had everything you could need, both in the kitchen and in general. I'm from Coruña, and I can honestly say you couldn’t find a better area, you’re right in the city centre. That said, you might need earplugs to sleep well, but it’s like that everywhere in this part of town.
Disliked: The apartment has some real moisture issues. You can smell the dampness, and once when going out, I noticed water leaking from another apartment. I don’t think the bathroom had a fan or proper ventilation. The linens looked and felt new and clean, but I found several small hairs in the bed (as some other guests have mentioned), and the bed smelled used, even though it appeared clean.

Liked: The apt was very nice, clean & good AC, the only thing was the shower gets plugged and water spills out.
Disliked: Was a bit annoyed with the person handling the check in was a little short with us during the process.
