  Would not wished to have stayed longer than one night. Noisy and photos in the listing on Booking.com are misleading as

  Liked: Location was good for enjoying Besalu.

  Disliked: Listing on Booking.com contains photos for both properties in the building. This is very misleading. The property smelt overwhelmingly of damp throughout. It was noisy in the flat due to the noise from the square, road by the flat and then morning use of the square. Beds were uncomfortable. Fridge was not turned on upon arrival.

  Really enjoyed our time in Besalu at Can Silvestre

  Liked: Fantastic location in the square looking onto the church. So lovely to be so central. Rooms were pretty and clean.

  Disliked: More stairs than we had envisaged with little children. But it worked fine.

  Fine for a 1 night stay

  Liked: Central location and simple but nice renovation.

  Disliked: So many stairs. Three sets of about 15 steps each. One set to go from building entry up to apartment, another set to go to bedrooms and bathroom and another to go up onto outdoor patio. Not ideal for older people as in our case travelling with older parents. I felt this property was over priced. There was quite a lot of noise at night from the square and side street. The most disappointing thing was that there was no hot water to shower. The property should have been checked prior to arrival. No apology from owner.
