Exceptional
Perfect little home base for exploring the island
Liked: The property had all the facilities I needed, was clean, comfortable and located in less than 15 min walk of all the useful bus services and shops I needed. The host was very kind and helpful. It is on a quiet street and has a well maintained little patio area too! It is self contained, and everything was in good condition. Very happy I picked this one, it was ideal.

Good compact well equipped apartment, would return
Liked: A lovely compact apartment (with parking) easy enough to find via Google Maps. Once there everything you need and lovely and quiet. Easy to walk to all village facilities and handy for island exploration (by car).
Disliked: the seats in the kitchen were a little firm, but as there is no lounge there is no sofa etc - not a problem, just an observation
Nice place for a few days
Liked: I liked that I had coffee, tea, cakes, etc. as a welcome and the fact that the kitchen was well equipped.
Disliked: A small sofa in the living room-kitchen area would have been a nice addition.
Great option for solo travellers or couples in a central location on the island
Liked: Maria was extremely responsive to messages and did her best to be as helpful as possible with whatever I needed. The property itself has a jolly, vibrant exterior filled with potted plants; the interior seems to have been renovated recently and is clean and in excellent condition, with pretty much everything you could ask for. An especially nice touch was a basket of goodies left for guests. The location was convenient for easily exploring the areas of Tigaday and La Frontera on foot, and the rest of the island by car. I'd have no hesitation to book La Casita again if I were to return to El Hierro!
Disliked: The property seems to have quite thin walls and adjoins one or two other residences that have families with young children, which means some noise from time to time.
Superb
Liked: The accommodation is comfortable, clean and well equipped. There is a parking lot if you come by car. The bus station is not far from the settlement. There are several shops nearby.
Disliked: Unfortunately, there was a pipe break in the apartment on the first night, and we had to wait for the mechanics in the morning.
