Exceptional
Comfortable house in the middle of nowhere
Liked: Like most of the island, it is a very lonely place, great to visit the north of El Hierro, but with a car! The house is very spacious and although there were only two of us, all the three bedrooms were available. The host, living in the house by the road, spoke only Spanish, but the communication by booking.com in English worked. She welcomed us with some local sweets - thank you! I liked Mocanal with its local bars and one of the very few shops open on Sunday and a great walking trail from there to tremendous Pozo de Las Calcosas! And there were sweet rabbits running in the outside area!
Disliked: It was getting quite hot from the roof, especially in the master bedroom. Next to the house, there is an additionnal apartment - hopefully there was no one there.
Superb
Liked: Very quiet location away from traffic and houses. Great shower and outdoor terrace. Good location for visiting the North, center and East side of the island. Only 5 minutes ride to the town where there are a few restaurants and shops. Impressive piscinas nearby.
