Fabulous
Liked: Generally was the comfort fine according to the price.
Disliked: Two things was really annoying: 1) The asking for to many personal informations for check-in, solely digital. The reason was explained as customer comfort; avoiding standing in a que at check-in, but the real reason is the hotel avoiding staff at check-in and everybody know that. 2) The ventilator at the bathroom was sounding like a generator (goes for all rooms), and was connected to the bathroom light. New ventilators must be installed, not just to give updated comfort also to save energi.
Superb hotel, loads of character and a beautiful village setting
Liked: Stunning location and very charming property in a lovely well maintained village location surrounded by great views. Located next to a river so you may even get the calming burble of water if you are at the back of the hotel. Rooms are traditional with a lot of natural wood. Basic but very clean and functional. Breakfast was included which was traditional continental with a very good selection of food and drinks.
Disliked: There is a bar opposite so if you are at the front of the hotel you may hear some noise from the street, so if you want an early night, ask for a room at the back. I was on the front of the hotel and it wasn't an issue for me, as I was in the bar:-). Apart from that, nothing to complain about worth mentioning.
Liked: Breakfast was excellent
Disliked: We had asked for a twin room and got a double. Tried to call staff to rectify but could not make contact. In the end we hsd to book a second room; which had twin beds.

Liked: Everything was as expected, or even better. We were warmly welcomed by the hotel staff and received a room with beautiful views of the river. Its location is also ideal, being very close to the town's main street. The room had everything we needed and was cleaned daily by the staff. Another great advantage was that the hotel is pet-friendly, and our German Shepherd was more than welcome to join us on our holiday. The breakfast was a delicious open buffet with plenty of options to choose from. Overall, it was excellent value for the price, and we are already planning to return.
