Exceptional
Outstanding hotel
Liked: Absolutely outstanding place to stay. The location is perfect. The building itself is a work of art and the peace and quiet is unmatched. I would say this is particularly good for families.
Disliked: Nothing, absolutely brilliant place to stay.
Liked: The right place to be for someone who wants to spend a short holiday in mountains. The staff are very kind, professional, and welcoming.
Super Unique Surrounded by Nature
Liked: MonNatura is a wonderfully unique place to stay. There is amazing hiking right out the door, or it’s perfect to sit under a tree and read your book. The common spaces are super comfortable. Food is great and reasonable (cafeteria style) if you don’t want to drive back to one of the nearby towns. Most of the staff don’t speak English but it wasn’t a problem. The guy at the reception who did was so helpful with everything from choosing hikes to where to eat. He was fantastic.
Disliked: Truthfully there was little I didn’t love. I wish there were English translations for the HUGE amount of naturalist info around the hotel (but that’s on me for not knowing more Spanish). The room was a bit stuffy because there was a heat wave. Most of the time I bet it stays really cool at 5,000 ft altitude but if HOT weather (85 degree F) is forecast it could be something to consider.

Disliked: Could not open a window and the room got stuffy at times
Liked: Location is amazing
Disliked: The room and facilities are more like a dormitory setup, not so clean as expected; in my opinion, the price-to-value ratio is not good. Secondly, the dinner is quite expensive for a very basic 'menú del día.' There are no meal options for children — unless your 2- to 5-year-old happens to enjoy cod, it might not be the best choice.
Liked: Located in rural but beautiful area surrounded with mountains. Staff was very lovely and food and wine cheap and delicious 🙂
