A scam. Horrible facilities that DON'T WORK

Liked: There is a lift. In the middle of the bazaar - very very noisy all night and day. Terrible facilities, the shower did not work causing the bathroom to flood.

Disliked: Absolute theives. - The shower did not work and the staff refused to provide us with a different room even after requesting that 3 times. We had to wait till the NEXT DAY in the AFTERNOON for the shower to be fixed. The bathroom flooded multiple times because of this. - There was no hand soap in the bathroom to wash our hands with. - I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.

    Liked: The location only

Disliked: Very disappointing stay. The hotel advertised parking, but there was no parking available, and there was practically never anyone at reception to speak to or ask for help. The room was also advertised as having air conditioning. There was an AC unit installed in our room, but no remote control. When we contacted them about it, we were simply told that the air conditioning was “not available” and that there was a fan in the room instead. A fan is absolutely not an adequate replacement for air conditioning in the Granada summer heat, especially when AC is advertised as one of the room’s amenities. Another major issue was the smell. The hotel constantly smelled either like cigarette smoke or cooking, and the odors would linger throughout the building. It made the whole place feel unpleasant and uncomfortable. On top of that, we had extremely loud and noisy neighbors, which made it very difficult to relax or get a proper night’s sleep. Combined with the heat, smells, and lack of assistance from reception, there was very little comfort throughout our stay. The room itself was poorly lit, and even checking in was unnecessarily inconvenient. We had to go to a completely different location to collect the keys. It wasn’t extremely far away, but after travelling and arriving with luggage, having to go somewhere else just to get the keys is the last thing you want. Overall, the biggest problem was that several of the amenities advertised were either unavailable or unusable, while there was hardly anyone around to help resolve anything. Between the lack of parking, unusable AC, constant smells, noise, poor lighting, and inconvenient check-in, the experience was exhausting. We booked expecting a basic level of comfort and convenience, but instead got one headache after another. Definitely not the experience we expected based on what was advertised, and I would not stay here again.

Some positives, but room for many improvements

Liked: Cool location, friendly check in lady. Comfortable bed. The room itself was clean.

Disliked: The building smelt like cigarette smoke, the bathroom had no ventilation so got very hot and the shower didn’t drain efficiently. You have to check in & collect the key at their other location, which isn’t too far away, but when navigating the busy tourist streets with luggage, in 40 degree Celsius summer heat it’s not so simple. It doesn’t make sense to have to check in at another location. There was a reception desk at the location we were sleeping in, but never anyone working there to help and no one to check in or out with.

Unsafe, violent staff, decided not to stay

Disliked: Violent staff. They shouted, and I decided not to stay in a place where someone pretends not to be able to speak (actually, he was pretending to have a disability, and suddenly he completely changed his behavior, shouting in Spanish and Arabic). This is the first time I have ever felt completely unsafe. Two other younger guys were walking around, watching and laughing at the situation, at how I basically didn't trust the guy and waited at the front door until someone who could speak showed up. Horrible experience. There is more than one door with the hostel's sign, which is quite confusing. Apparently, you have to enter a rather dark building and go upstairs. This huge, forty-something guy came out of nowhere, smiling while waving me in with his hands, shaking his head yes and no, almost as if he were deaf or couldn't understand my English, Spanish, or French. I lost my money, but feeling safe is much more important.
