Very good
Overall good first experience of staying in a cave houe
Liked: The location was great, easy to visit the area of cave houses and walk down to the Cathedral. The owners were friendly and helpful. Parking available nearby. The place was clean and quite well equipped, and larger than expected.
Disliked: There were some internal steps where floors changed levels. These were dangerous in the dark if going to the bathroom for example
Liked: Pleasant owner and the location. Good shower
Disliked: Only 1 set of towels and fridge needed a clean
Did not take place due to incorrect check-in information and lack of communication from the host
Liked: I am sure it is great once you are there. It looks great and I have no doubt it is beautiful and nice.
Disliked: When booking, it was stated that there was a 24-hour reception, which was important to us as we wanted to arrive late at night. Immediately after completing the (non-cancellable) booking, it was suddenly stated that check-in was only possible until 11 p.m. – this information was not apparent beforehand. I checked this again later, as the accommodation claimed it was clearly stated. I immediately contacted the accommodation to find a cancellation or solution, as we had not yet checked in at that point. Unfortunately, my request was rejected and I was referred to booking.com. Despite several attempts on my part and on the part of booking.com to contact the accommodation and reach an agreement, we received no further response. We were unable to use the accommodation and were left with the costs. I found it particularly disappointing that there was no response to queries and cancellation requests and that all communication was refused.
Liked: Very helpful with check in. I stayed the beginning of November and outside it was cold but the caves keep a nice temperature and cozy, Nice experience
