Exceptional
Lovely apartment in very convenient location
Liked: A lovely apartment in the quieter Santiago area of the city but easily walkable into the centre (Alcázar 8 minute walk, bars & restaurants approx 5 minutes). We were thrilled when we opened an ordinary door to find a lovely courtyard inside with beautiful tiles and plants. A little oasis. Our apartment (number 4) had everything we needed with a great bathroom and excellent shower. The main room was a studio rather than having a separate bedroom as described but generously sized and we were very happy with it. Might be an issue if you were planning to use the sofa bed for another adult or two though. Great value for money compared to other places we stayed.
Disliked: The pillows were a nightmare - rubber foam, very high and solid. Neither of us could sleep on them, so uncomfortable so we ended up putting the little scatter cushions into the pillow cases and using those. Appreciate that different people like different types of pillow but these were really extreme. Also there is no hot water to the kitchen sink. The owner explained that this was because the old building did not allow hot water pipes to reach there so don’t know if this was just our apartment or all. We were advised to use the hot water in the bathroom but washing up in a shallow sink with no plug and next to the toilet seemed really weird. Perhaps it’s just us! We were only doing crockery and glasses, but if you had cooked a meal using the pots I think it would be even more strange. Simply adding an electric water heater under the sink or even an electric kettle would have solved this despite the plumbing challenges.
Stunning little apartment
Liked: Traditional beautifully decorated apartment, well fitted out, comfortable and clean. Great to have little extras, condiments and kitchen appliances. Quiet when windows are closed. Walking distance to Plazas. Host was very helpful.
Disliked: Some noisy happy locals coming home during the night which was not a big issue

A lovely place to stay with a very helpful host
Liked: Very friendly host who was very helpful with our many questions. The place was very clean and comfortable
Disliked: The nearest parking is about 10 minutes walk and is quite expensive, but I understand this is not the fault of the property
Liked: It was very clean and new, and very importantly quite cool in the heat of summer
