Good
A no-frill Hotel with nice view
Liked: The hotel staff is very friendly and supportive, right from reception to room service to bar/restaurants. The swimming pool is well-maintained. Food is also good.
Disliked: This is basically a no-frill hotel. Do not expect a water kettle or other common amenities.
Liked: Staff was friendly, good location, bathtub for the kids
Disliked: Rooms are very basically equipped. Missing pillows, no water boiler..., electricity issues with the interruptor in the room. Hotel store not equipped well, not selling swimsuit for the pool

Disliked: The infrastructure of the hotel is very basic. There were broken pieces in the bathroom. We had to pay 18 euros per person for lunch, which was very low quality, had very little and too sugary choices for dessert and it did not even include a coffee or tea...
Liked: Tres bon accueil, restauration correct pour le tarif, chambre propre. Seul bemol l isolation phonique est tres mauvaise on vit avec les voisins de chambre et de l etage du dessus

Much better than expected
Liked: Stayed recently at the Alp Hotel Masella and I was pleasantly surprised by it's quality. After having read the other reviews which are quite unfair, I had extremely low expectations. The Rooms are nice featuring a modern design, comfy beds, lots of lights, sockets, a TV, large wardrobe and a modern and spacious bathroom. Housekeeping was good and always replaced the towels etc etc. The food was overall good but a bit beige at times. It is carbohydrate heavy so will certainly give you the necessary energy for skiing and there is something for everyone. The entertainment is very good, the reps speak good English and try their hardest to get everyone involved. The lounge was good with comfy sofas, a fire, pool tables and table football, and a bar which was surprisingly good value for example only €3.00 for 500ml of coke which is good considering the location and all ice creams are €2.50. The staff are also friendly and good English speakers. Overall, I had a thoroughly pleasant stay in the Alp Hotel Masella and I would certainly come again. The bad reviews seem very unfair.
