Exceptional
Great hotel, comfortable & perfectly located
Liked: Delightful hotel, with somewhat eccentric decoration - some antique, some more contemporary. I was given a large front-facing room with balcony, which exceeded my expectations. On-site parking quite expensive, but a bonus. If you're lucky there's on-street parking within 100m. Location perfect, and the small square fronting the hotel is delightful. Of the available hotels in Lugo I would choose this hotel again.
Disliked: Shower over bath could do with an anti-slip mat & a grab rail. Great care needed removing oneself.

Liked: Amazing hotel in the heart of Lugo, with the most exquisite furniture and accessories. The hosts were very helpful and obliging.

The location "inside the wall" was incredible. The decor was incredibly art deco and cool
Liked: The staff was amazing. The staff was actually 1 woman. She was very friendly and cooperative.
Disliked: The AC really did not work, so we left the windows open all night. That worked out fine.

A beautiful historic hotel in the citadel
Liked: Hotel Monumento Paza de Orban is an absolutely charming hotel in the old quarter of Lugo Citadel. Renovated to high standards whilst retaining its unique history. Ask Maria to show you the photograph of the house when it was first purchased. Situated adjacent to the Roman Wall once you have navigated the streets in your car it's a must that you reserve a car space during your stay. Its a quiet location. Maria provides an amazing buffet breakfast with selections of meats, cheese, cake, cereals, fruit and yoghurt etc. Cafes and restaurants are very close by. There is a lift which is very useful. The rooms are spacious. We just loved this hotel.

Disliked: A/C was a little weak, but not uncomfortable (to be fair we were in the middle of an extreme heat wave)
