What is Pedregalejo?

Pedregalejo is an old fishermen’s quarter east of Málaga, between La Malagueta and El Palo. Its seafront promenade is lined with bars, restaurants and beach bars, and at its western end are the Baños del Carmen, an old seaside bathing resort.

Getting around from here

Several EMT bus lines link the district with the centre in about 15 minutes along Avenida Juan Sebastián Elcano. Walking along the promenade you reach El Palo in ten minutes and La Malagueta in about 40.

When rooms are hardest to find

During Holy Week, the August Fair and summer, when Málaga and the Costa del Sol fill up. On sunny weekends the promenade is packed.
