Fabulous
Liked: The private duplex in Solaz was perfect for a family of 4. Some said that the walk to the main hotel was a while away but really not that bad. It was a stones throw away from the swimming pool. Easy to walk into town and the beach. The staff were really friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The food was ok but there could have been more variety and the queues were quite long sometimes.
Family Holiday
Liked: Absolutely perfect location for families with younger children. The pool was fantastic, clean and well managed. Our apartment was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Walking distance (10mins) to shops, restaurants and the beach.

Liked: Well equipped with everything we needed with two young children! Clean and comfortable, daily maid service was a real bonus.
Disliked: Master bedroom contained two single beds pushed together - not joined so came apart. Would have been useful to have some plastic plates and bowls to use with young children.

We had an excellent stay
Liked: I was upgraded to a larger apartment on arrival so had a large outdoor terrace with loungers and hot tub. The facilities were exceptional, and exactly what I needed for a holiday totally focused on quiet, rest and relaxation. Beds comfortable, apartment clean and decor fresh.
Disliked: Only small issue was that due to the cooler weather experienced in the week I visited, I would have liked to have heating in the evenings, where it became quite cold. The heat in the apartment didn't work, I presume because it's overridden centrally to prevent individual changes. I did bring this up eith reception on the day I arrived but was told to adjust the room thermostats and it would kick in (this didn't solve the issue - I do know that hotels typically override guests trying to increase heating levels and have experienced it on previous occasions at the Cordial Mogan Playa). There were extra blankets for beds so I used them all and this helped. It would be beneficial if this can be addressed by hotel management if evening temperatures in the area are cold.
