  Mosquito safari

Liked: The apartments are very spacious. Convenient kitchen, living room, dining room. Comfortable beds. Parking space. Near the beach.

Disliked: We killed maybe 130 mosquitoes in 3 days, it was a nightmare. We coundn't sleep. We stopped opening the windows because they didn't have mosquito nets and we covered the ventilation holes with tape because they kept flying in. We lived the rest of the days without being able to ventilate. The owner of the apartment says that "typically" there are no mosquitoes at their place, but the apartment has evaporative mosquito repellents plugged into the electrical outlets and the neighbors' windows had nets. When we went for a walk in the evening, there were also a lot of mosquitoes. While we kept the windows open, the person living downstairs was smoking on the terrace, and the smell came through the windows into our apartment. Using a range hood in the kitchen extracts odors from the bathroom and toilet drains, which spread throughout the house.

Disliked: It was quite away from any where apart from a small shop and bar.

Liked: The best location. Conveniently close to a large supermarket. 10 minute drive to Morro Jable restaurants and shopping. 10 minute drive to the lagoon at Sotavento Beach for windsurfing and kite boarding. The apartment has a large outdoor community swimming pool for lap swimming.
