    Dissapointing

Liked: - Great location, free, big parking, great restaurant. - Beautiful tiny garden for a blissful morning coffee and an evening chill. Very good coffee. - Whoever was cleaning my room - thank you, it was excellent, every day. - The owners are clearly very hard-working people (the restaurant), so I believe with time this place can become a gem.

Disliked: For this price, 3 stars hotel and 8.5 rating I expected a completely different level: - Disappointing breakfast: the plates were not clean. Only toast bread, other processed food, plus visibly old fruits. - No AC and we had some hot days. Choice: sleep with closed windows in heat, or with the window open, with noise from restaurant kitchen, smell from it, mosquitos. - The room smells old and it's dark. Basically I just slept there and wanted to leave for a whole day. - Noises the whole night. Without earplugs I would not sleep at all. You can hear everything your neighbours are doing, some partying and also clearly smoking cigaretes. It's impossible to open/close your room doors without making a lot of noise for the whole building. - No wifi.

Liked: Lovely hotel in the small village of Soano, just outside of Noja. The garden was lovely, excellent place to relax after a day of walking the Camino. In the evening, we had a lovely dinner and drinks, which was tasty and reasonably priced. The hotel was very cosy, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. If you are doing the Camino, would recommend staying here than in Noja, only 20 min walk away

    Posada not inviting

Liked: The accommodation is very dark inside the rooms. We were shown a room at the top when we arrived. It was very small. We asked for a better room and we were given the only room with a small balcony. This is probably the best room. It is dark even with the lights on! Obviously Posadas are usually very old buildings but we have stayed in brighter ones. The hallway and inside of Posada all very dark. Beds are not comfortable. Bathroom is adequate. We were booked for a 9 day stay but could not enjoy the room. We left after 4 nights but the owner would not refund even a little of the money paid. The taverna beside the Posada (same owner) is very nice and staff are helpful. Lovely views from here. Beside the marshes park for walking and on the Camino trail. Watch out for mosquitoes and keep windows closed at evening & night.
