  Well-located spacious flat with useable kitchen

  Liked: Greeted by owner with useful intro to city. Spacious flat. Clean and comfortable. By holiday apartment standards kitchen very well equipped. Tasteful decor..Secure. Decent shower and ample hot water. Loads of TV channels.

  Disliked: Instructed to 'remove trash' (fair enough) but no info as to where to dispose of it. Bit tricky to use induction hob for those unfamiliar. No air con so in high summer fans may not have been enough. mid-September ok. Bathroom a bit cramped.

  Sort the t.v. and new pots and pans in the kitchen it is a brilliant place to stay in lovely weather

  Liked: Near to shops, supermarkets and bread, bars and a few restaurants. The train station very close. The flat had a very comfy bed and the fridge was new, big and vey good in extremely hot weather. Had a freezer too. Great shower. Lovely hot water. Dish washer and washing machine with tablets excellent. Washing line on balcony.

  Disliked: The balcony was only sunny in the middle of the afternoon, when you are generally not there! We had great 100% sunny weather, but if we had had limited sun l would have been disappointed not to be in the sun in the morning or evening on our return. Also washing may not dry with the sun not on the balcony for long. It was very noisy from the tunnel that was open out the back where the flat is. There is long term rail works going on. Did stop around 7p.m. The T.V. was disappointingly NOT a smart t.v. which was disappointing for the price of the flat. So no English Netflix or Prime. The pans were awful. All the non stick coating scratched and peeling off on all of them. Not nice and very dangerous to use but had no choice. It’s quite a walk to the beach and old town. Some help with the bus number that would take you to the beach/ old town/ funicular etc would have been appreciated.

  Liked: Host met us personally and provided a map and list of restaurants and places to visit. Across the road from Amara Donastia station, which was ideal for us to catch the first morning train. The apartment is situated at the back of the building, so any noise from the train station is barely noticed. Train noise is equivalent to aeroplane flying overhead. However, with the balcony doors opened, it is louder. On a Saturday night, the trains run periodically during the night. That was the only night that I heard them in a week's stay. Comfortable and clean. Balcony with rack to dry clothes. Lots of eateries nearby, but no bars with late night noise.

  Disliked: The toilet is fitted closely between the shower and a protruding wall. Although very slim, I still bruised myself a few times on that wall. Low glass coffee table, out of vision and see-through, so something else to bump into.

  San Sebastian is excellent - but accommodation is expensive

  Liked: Very well appointed kitchen & good size lounge. Bit far from the centre but plenty of buses. Host was most helpful.

  Disliked: Its nearer the rail station than we expected - noisy early morning - esp. if you want the windows open. Blinds did not appear to work. Not a cheap place to stay.

  Regrettable expense not to be repeated

  Liked: Location was good, right next to the train station. Of course there was some noise, but not really too much.

  Disliked: Almost everything shiuld have been better: the bathroom was minuscule and almost unusable for me (180cm - 98 kg), there were only two extremely small bottles of shower gel, only two rolls of the stingy one-ply toilet paper, and the washing machine was extremely mouldy and thus unusable. All this for an exaggerated price of 740 Euro for four nights? Not worth it, and my only advice is to skip this appartment.
