  Great hotel, good value for money

  I wish I had booked the other hotel I was considering

  Liked: the breakfast was good and the ladies who served it were friendly and helpful

  Disliked: I have never been so pleased to leave a hotel room. My room opened directly on to the breakfast room. I queried whether this would mean it would be noisy, but was promised there would be no noise. I was woken at 6:15 on Sunday morning by staff setting up for breakfast that started at 8. They obviously woke the dog up in the next room as well because it started barking at the same time. The matress was so uncomfortable I left the hotel with hip and back pain I didn't have when I arrived. There were lots of other issues too that made me think the rooms had been designed to look good in photos rather than to be used (little lights flashing all night, light switches hidden behind doors, drawers the opened themselves ready to trip you up when you walk into the room)

  It was okay

  Liked: It was clean.

  Disliked: Our general impression? Its okay. That’s it. Our personal experience? To reach our room we had to cross the breakfastroom. As long as the doors are closed there is no problem…The breakfastroom in the morning is terror for your ears. One morning there were familygroups with a lot of children, the other morning schoolgroups dominated the area. We like children in every age, we don’t blame them, but you can forget a quiet start of the day. Because of the low ceiling the sound echoes loudly. Fortunately there are within 100 meters of the hotel some very good bakery’s. The people at the desk were stressed. At the hotel website it looked a joyful place but we will not come back.

  Pleasant hotel with a friendly atmosphere

  Liked: Staff lovely. Breakfast v nice. Room was clean and bright.

  Disliked: No tea and coffee making facilities. Insufficient clothes hangers,which is slightly irritating.

  A friendly and comfortable city hotel

  Liked: Very helpful, welcoming and friendly staff. The room was bright and spacious and our bed was huge and very comfortable. It's a pet friendly hotel - a dog bed and bowl were provided. We'd brought our own dog bed as Maya is quite a large dog but theirs would be fine for a smaller dog. The breakfast is a full buffet with plenty of choice from fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, to cooked eggs, bacon, ham and cheese with bread and pastries. The location is good and a walkable distance from the centre. There are buses nearby too though you can't take bigger dogs on, only ones you can carry apparently. So we couldn't use them.

  Disliked: For us the only thing lacking was a lounge/bar and restaurant in the hotel.
