  Don't stay there without ear plugs and a knock out pill

  Disliked: We checked into our room and noticed a very loud humming every ten minutes. It sounded like a huge fridge turning the compressor on and off. We assume it was the air conditioning on the roof because wee were on the 7th floor. asked for a change of room and was told the hotel was full. The receptionist agreed to come to the room to see first hand and agreed that the noise was present. He pretended that it was a new thing, but we are certain this could not be true. He told me that they could refund my money and I could look for another hotel. That was in the evening on a Friday night, so the chances of finding something at the last minute was very unlikely. Plus, we were travelling with friends, which would have meant we would have to be staying in different hotels. After much discussion the receptionist agreed to move our room for the second night which they did, but we were not able to sleep a wink and the change of rooms did not make up for the inconvenience and the sleepless night. We were only there for two nights. No offer to discount our stay or refund our money.

  Well located and great breakfast buffet

  Liked: Well located, close to the beach and Txubillo / Mount Igeldo, good for nice walks. There is a bus stop (with lines towards the city and the bus/railway station) in front of the building. We also enjoyed the great breakfast buffet.

  Liked: This was a nice hotel room, but a little expensive, mostly because it was in San Sebastián during the beach and travel season. We were not that close to the beach, but we were hiking the Camino, so we weren't going to the beach anyway. The hotel was just a half block from a laundry mat, so that was good for us. It was also very close to a grocery store and some nice restaurants. We ate dinner at a pizza place just a block away. We enjoyed the food and would go back there. The hotel had a very good breakfast, but no coffee in the room, so we had to wait for breakfast to get our coffee. The room included air conditioning, which was really nice. All in all, it was a good place for us to stay.
